New Hereford Edgar Street Grid regeneration firm chosen

A new firm has been appointed to oversee a multi-billion pound regeneration scheme in Hereford.

Hereford Futures Limited has taken over the previous firm, Edgar Street Limited.

The new management team said it aimed to develop the city as a whole and not just the former cattle market site.

Herefordshire Council said it made the change after consulting residents who wanted money spent on the historic centre as well as new projects.

The previous regeneration firm's 15-year plan for the Edgar Street Grid involved shopping, leisure and housing.
