Litter project in Hereford will recycle gum
- Published
A campaign which aims to recycle chewing gum into car tyres, toys and mobile phone covers has started in Hereford.
The initiative aims to encourage people to dispose of their gum correctly, or face an £80 fine.
Special "Gumdrop" bins have been placed at locations around the city, including at the railway and bus stations.
Herefordshire is one of 12 areas in the UK selected by Keep Britain Tidy for the project.
Hereford will have the special bins in place for six months.
