Hundreds of jobs will be created with the development of a store on the site of a former Territorial Army (TA) base in Worcestershire, a developer said.

The 104th Regiment Royal Artillery volunteers moved out of their Silver Street, Lowesmoor site on 19 September to make way for a new Asda store.

Developer Carillion Richardson converted Hill, Evans & Company vinegar factory in exchange for the TA site.

It said the supermarket development could create up to 350 jobs locally.
