CCTV cameras to monitor Severn levels in Worcester
- Published
CCTV cameras overlooking the River Severn are going to be used to monitor water levels in Worcester.
The city council has made four cameras, between Sabina Bridge and Worcester Bridge, available to the Environment Agency.
The agency said the pictures would enable it to issue "timely" flood warnings.
A council spokesman said it was keen to install cameras at drains, culverts and other flood risk sites as well.
