Croome Court said the "beautiful weather" was a factor in the figures

Record visitor numbers have been recorded at Croome Court, the stately home in Worcestershire.

It has had just over 30,000 visitors in two months since the beginning of March.

This compared to a few years ago when it had about 30,000 in a whole year, visitors services manager at Croome Amy Forster said.

She put the figures down to "so much going on" there and the "beautiful weather".

"We've blasted sort of all previous visitor numbers out of the water really, which is great."

More than £10m is being spent restoring the estate.
