Hereford energy week supports sustainable living

  • Published

Dozens of companies in Herefordshire are joining forces to show people how to live in a more sustainable way.

h.Energy is a week-long exhibition about reducing energy use and features 70 events across the county.

It looks to the future, but also aims to help people cope with current rises in food and fuel costs.

This second annual event has been organised by New Leaf, a not-for-profit organisation working towards sustainability and carbon reduction.

It said it was surprised by how many people took part last year, expecting only handful, when over 2,000 joined in.

The county seems to be already getting the message - the rate of solar panel installation is three times the national average.
