Hereford ambulance station reopens as part of hub plans

Ambulance staff have returned to a Herefordshire station following a major refurbishment as part of plans to create a new hub for the county.
Hereford ambulance station, in Romany Way, had been closed for more than three months while the first part of an £800,000 revamp took place.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) says eight bases across the area will replace five "traditional" stations.
Its plan is to maintain and service all of the county's ambulances at the hub.
WMAS says work on the outlying land in Romany Way is continuing in order to complete the hub where all ambulance crews will eventually collect their vehicles at the start of their shift before basing themselves at seven community ambulance stations.
They will be two such stations in Hereford with additional ones in Ross, Ledbury, Leominster, Bromyard and Kington.
