Hewell prison remand prisoner found hanged in his cell

A prisoner has died after being found hanging in his cell at a Worcestershire jail.

Sebastian Foster, 33, was found hanging at Hewell prison in Redditch, on Friday afternoon.

A Prison Service spokeswoman said: "Paramedics were called but he was pronounced dead at the prison."

The independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will undertake an investigation into the incident, said the Prison Service.

Mr Foster was on remand charged with possession with intent to supply drugs,
