Worcester University's campus plans submitted

Worcester University's masterplan for a new campus has been submitted to the city council.

The proposals involve a science and enterprise park alongside university buildings at the former Grove Park site.

Part of the site would be developed in partnership with property firm Wrenbridge.

Worcester City Council said it welcomed views on the University Park proposals.

The university has said that the proposed development could eventually employ more than 2,000 people in addition to a significant number of jobs during construction.

The University Park planning application comes just weeks after proposals for a £10m development at Worcestershire County Cricket ground were submitted to Worcester City Council.
