Pothole report numbers in Worcestershire 'fall by half'

The number of potholes reported on roads in Worcestershire has fallen by half, according to the county council.

Worcestershire County Council said they carried out more than 13,500 repairs over the past 12 months, compared to 33,000 in the previous year.

Councillor John Smith said: "Thankfully this winter hasn't been as harsh as the previous three, which brought prolonged cold snaps and sub-zero temperatures."

The council said it also resurfaced more than 120 miles (190km) of roads.

A newapp for smartphones, externalhas been produced by the council to make it easier for motorists to report problems with road surfaces in Worcestershire.
