Plans to redevelop the former British Sugar factory site in Worcestershire could create more than 400 jobs.

They include 250 homes, a care home, a hotel, shops, restaurants, footpaths and cycle ways.

British Sugar closed its Kidderminster operation in 2004 and the developers bought the former sugar beet processing and production plant in 2006.

All the buildings on the site have been knocked down apart from 70 metre (230ft) twin silos, which are also expected to be demolished.

If plans are approved, building work is due to begin later this year.
