Two women have died in separate crashes in Worcestershire.

Paramedics were called to the M5 on Monday after a car was involved in a collision with an HGV between junctions five and six shortly before 13:30 BST.

The woman died at the scene. The motorway was shut, causing long delays, before motorists were able to drive past the scene from about 17:30 BST.

A 73-year-old woman died when her car collided with another on the A456 Ringway in Kidderminster on Friday.

The Skoda Yeti and a Ford Focus were travelling from the Kidderminster Medical Centre roundabout towards the Blackwell Street roundabout at about at the time of the crash at about 14:40 BST, West Mercia Police said.

The driver of the Skoda died at the scene and the force has called on anyone who witnessed the crash to contact officers.
