Cradley residents asked to return historic coins from treasure hoard

People in a Herefordshire village have been asked to return any historic coins they may have from a treasure hoard.
About 300 silver and gold coins were discovered at Church Style Farm, Cradley, at the end of August.
The coins cover the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I, James I and Charles I, dating from about 1558 to 1649.
People could have accepted the coins as souvenirs or mementos when they were given away in "good faith", West Mercia Police said.
Two men were arrested and released on bail in September after police discovered the treasure hoard.
An investigation into the hoard is ongoing.
Historic England said the treasure has "local and national historic importance" and would improve knowledge around the English Civil War in Herefordshire.
Det Con Phil Harvey said residents with coins were "not in any trouble".
"We simply want to get them back in to the right hands," he added.
