Boy struck by car outside Worcester primary school seriously injured

A six-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when struck by a car outside a primary school.
He was hit by a Ford Fiesta close to Stanley Road Primary School in Worcester, at about 15:00 GMT, police said.
The boy was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital, said West Mercia Police.
The force issued an appeal for information from the public including any dash-cam footage.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident this afternoon," it said in a statement.
Stanley Road remains closed in both directions between Wylds Land and Cecil Road.
Drivers were warned to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
