Police have arrested two boys after a suspected arson at Fairfield Day Nursery in Warndon

Two boys have been arrested after a suspected arson at a nursery.

A 13-year-old and another boy, 14, were arrested on Sunday after a fire broke out at Fairfield Day Nursery in Warndon, Worcester, last month.

The nursery's summer house and most of the outdoor play equipment were destroyed but the nursery building itself was unaffected.

Both boys were arrested on suspicion of causing arson without endangering life.

The 13-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

West Mercia Police said officers are continuing to investigate the incident.

In a Facebook post after the fire, the nursery confirmed the summer house, shed and some toys had been destroyed.

"As you can imagine we are all extremely saddened by this news," the post added.
