Man dies in M5 van and lorry crash near Bromsgrove

Motorists faced delays on the M5 near junction 4A

A man has died in a crash between a van and a lorry on the M5 motorway.

They crashed on the M5 northbound between junction four and 4A near Bromsgrove at about 20:15 GMT on Monday.

The driver of the van, a 48-year-old man, died at the scene, West Mercia Police said.

The northbound carriageway was expected to remain closed through the morning at junction 4A for Bromsgrove and the M42, National Highways said.

A diversion route was in place.

No further patients needed medical treatment, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
