The 81-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder
An 81-year-old man is in police custody after an elderly woman died.
Emergency services were called to a home in Alexander Avenue, Droitwich, Worcestershire, just before 08:15 GMT on Friday.
The man, who was known to the 80-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of murder but needed hospital treatment. He has been discharged from hospital.
A man in his 40s was also taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition, West Mercia Police said.
