Tributes to 'beautiful' Worcester pub landlord after sudden death

A pub landlord in Worcester who died suddenly aged 39 has been described as an "amazing personality" and a "beautiful man".
Alex Pope took over the Paul Pry in the city in 2017 and on Sunday a statement was posted on their Facebook page to announce his "sudden passing".
A spokesperson for the business said those who worked with him were "beyond devastated."
Hundreds of people paid tribute to Mr Pope on the Facebook post.
Many spoke of their shock at his death and one post said he was an "amazing personality and such a loss to everyone who knew him".
Another added: "A beautiful man and a beautiful family - my heart goes out to all of you."
In the statement, staff added they were "comforted knowing how loved he is and how much support we have around us".
"We love you more than words can express and there will forever be a void in our hearts," they added.
The business asked for privacy and confirmed it would be closed until "further notice".
Fellow Worcester pub The Plough posted on Facebook: "Worcester hospitality has lost one of the very best! Thinking of you all."
While The Arch Rivals Micro Pub & Brewery added: "Our neighbour and fellow landlord - Alex - you will be sadly missed around the Arches pal."
In 2015, Hop of the Morning, an ale Mr Pope made in collaboration with BBC Hereford and Worcester won best local beer at the Worcester Beer Festival.
