Bin collections suspended as severe weather continues

North East Lincolnshire Council has indefinitely suspended its waste collection service because of the severe weather conditions.
Residents can bring their waste to vehicles stationed at collection points in Grimsby, Immingham and Cleethorpes.
The council said the service would not resume until further notice.
Meanwhile, North Lincolnshire Council said it was continuing to grit as many roads as possible, as temperatures overnight on Sunday fell to -11C.
A spokesman said drivers should be aware of the hazard of ice on the road, especially because at such low temperatures salt could become ineffective.
