Grimsby man 'incited riots' on Facebook, court hears

A Grimsby man has appeared in court charged with inciting violence on a social networking website.

Martin Hartshorn, 21, of McCauley Street, is alleged to have posted comments on Facebook, encouraging people to start riots in Grimsby.

The comments were posted on his Blackberry smartphone on Tuesday, Grimsby Magistrates' Court heard.

An application for bail was denied and he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Wednesday.
