The Duchess of Cambridge is to visit Grimsby next month for a series of solo engagements, it has been announced.

Catherine will tour a fishing heritage centre, meet fire crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and officially open Havelock Academy secondary school.

While at Peaks Lane fire station, she will meet unemployed young people taking part in a personal development course run by The Prince's Trust.

St James's Palace said the visit would take place on 5 March.

At the National Fishing Heritage Centre, the duchess will be given a guided tour by a local trawlerman and hear about the environmental sustainability of fishing in the North Sea.
