A Hull Kingston Rovers rugby league player has appeared in court charged with child sex offences.
Adam Walker, 24, from Shipley, West Yorkshire, is charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child.
No formal plea was entered when he appeared at Leeds Crown Court. A trial has been scheduled to take place on 21 September at the same court.
Mr Walker joined the Super League team in 2012.
In a statement, the club had previously said it was aware of the charges brought against Mr Walker and added it would "continue to support Adam and he will remain available for selection".
The 24-year-old previously played for Huddersfield Giants.
