Hull 'altercation' leaves woman with serious injuries

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following an "altercation" in Hull, Humberside Police has said.
The 39-year-old suffered lacerations to her neck and arm during the incident in Anlaby Park Road South at about 06:40 GMT on Monday, according to officers.
A 28-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
It was thought the incident was "isolated" and the women were known to each other, a police spokesperson said.
The 39-year-old's injuries were "not thought to be life-threatening at this time", they added.
Det Insp Andy Crawforth said: "Locals to the area can expect to see an increased police presence in the area throughout the day, providing additional reassurance to residents while our investigations continue.
"I would encourage anyone with any information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us."
