Man charged over armed robbery at Bridlington jeweller's shop

A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a jeweller's in Bridlington.

Officers were called to reports of a robbery at the shop in Prospect Street at about 14:00 GMT on Friday.

The man, one of three arrested over the incident, had been charged with aggravated burglary and possessing a knife in a public place, police said.

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Hull Magistrates' Court on Monday, according to Humberside Police.

Two other men had been released on bail pending further inquiries, a force spokesperson said.
