Bempton man found guilty of arranging child sex offences

A 74-year-old man from East Yorkshire has been convicted of arranging to commit child sex offences.
Earlier this year, Clive Jones had contacted a woman on numerous occasions with the intent of sexually abusing a child, police said.
Jones, from Bempton, near Bridlington, was found guilty on seven counts after a six-day trial at Durham Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody and was due to be sentenced at the same court on 25 January, Humberside Police said.
Following the conclusion of the trial, Det Con Rachel Hall said: "This was a concerning case where a fully grown man was taking a sickening sexual interest in a child, arranging to meet the child and expressing perverted sexual desires.
"I am reassured he has been convicted of his crimes and is now remanded in custody, awaiting sentencing next year.
"I hope this sends a very clear warning to anyone considering committing similar offences. We will carry out a full and thorough investigation and will do everything in our power to put you before the courts."
