Man arrested in connection with sexual assault in Hull park

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault on a man in a park in Hull.

Humberside Police received a call in the early hours of 8 February from a man reporting he had been sexually assaulted in Pearson Park.

Det Insp Jon Jeffs reassured the local community that officers will remain in the area over the coming days.

The 38-year-old has been released on bail while police inquiries continue.

The force is keen to hear from anyone who was in the park on 8 February and may have footage that can help the investigation.
