Scunthorpe dealers with drugs worth £2m jailed

Three "prolific" drug dealers who "exploited vulnerable people" in Scunthorpe through their multimillion-pound operation have been jailed.
Kryzstof Bom, 38, Alvis Obuhovics, 24, and Liene Obuhovica, 19, had drugs worth a street value of £2m at various addresses, Humberside Police said.
All three admitted drug offences at Hull Crown Court.
They were convicted following "a highly complex and long-term" police investigation, the force said.
Officers found a stash of cash, drugs, guns, knives and machetes during police raids on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 August 2022.
Det Con Paul Nicholson said: "Officers executed multiple searches at addresses on Spencer Avenue, Grosvenor Street and Berkeley Street after Bom was identified as the registered tenant at two of the addresses.
"Upon searching the properties, officers discovered Class A, B and C drugs worth a total street value of £2m, a number of weapons and £187,108 in cash.
"Following the discovery, Obuhovica and Obuhovics were both arrested at the properties and our inquiries swiftly commenced as the structure of the organised crime group began to uncover.
"This included extensive mobile phone data analysis, which identified Bom, Obuhovica and Obuhovics operating a drug line."
Bom, of Grosvenor Street, was arrested on 11 August 2022 after he fled a police stop request while cycling along Buckingham Street.
The mobile phone seized from Obuhovics, of Berkley Street, contained various messages between him and Obuhovica about suppling heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis.
Another mobile phone seized from the Grosvenor Street address revealed the trio's business "had a large, established customer base", the detective added.
Police say further searches of Obuhovica's address at Mary Street on 8 February 2023 unearthed more drugs with a street value of £376,480, while cash and weapons worth £64,540 were also found.
'Lucrative operation'
DC Nicholson added: "Bom, Obuhovica and Obuhovics have no regard for the lives of those purchasing the substances they supplied within the community.
"This is a business for them, with making money the only objective no matter the expense or misery of others.
"The drugs and cash recovered show how lucrative this operation was and would have continued to be, had all four arrests and the recovery of the substances not taken place."
He said the gang's sentencing had "prevented significant amounts of drugs from being sold on the streets of Scunthorpe and the associated crime and antisocial behaviour that goes with this kind of offending".
A Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation is due to take place.
Bom was jailed for 12 years and eight months for two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, three counts of conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon, two counts of conspiracy to possess a firearm without a firearm certificate, conspiracy to supply class B drugs and conspiracy to possess criminal property.
Obuhovica was jailed for 10 years for two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon and conspiracy to possess criminal property.
Obuhovics was jailed for two years and eight months for two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and one of conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
