River Humber searched for man who fell overboard from cargo ship

A man was reported to have gone overboard from a cargo vessel on Thursday night, a coastguard agency said
A major search operation has been suspended after a man reportedly fell overboard from a cargo vessel in the mouth of the River Humber.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said helicopters and lifeboats had made searches after an alarm was raised shortly before 23:00 GMT on Thursday.
Those searches had since been suspended pending further information, a spokesperson said.
No further details on the reason for the suspension were given.
The agency said: "Coastguard helicopters from Humberside and Lydd, a coastguard fixed wing aircraft, coastguard rescue teams from Withernsea and Hornsea, RNLI lifeboats from Humber, Skegness and Bridlington and nearby vessels all assisted in the search."
