A man has been arrested after a crash in Hull city centre left a person with serious injuries.
The collision between a black BMW and a Mazda happened on Ferensway, near the Anlaby Road junction, after 18:00 BST on Monday, Humberside Police confirmed.
A man and a woman, who were in the BMW, fled the scene on foot, the force said.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a police search and remains in custody.
Officers said a man, who was in the Mazda, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The force has appealed for witnesses and anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the scene.
