Voting to elect local councillors in Hull and a police and crime commissioner for the region is taking place

Voting is under way to elect new city councillors in Hull and a police and crime commissioner (PCC) for the region.

A total of 75 candidates are set to contest 19 out of Hull City Council's 21 wards. No polls are taking place in Central or Pickering wards this year.

Three candidates are also vying for the Humberside PCC role, which covers Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.

Polling stations close at 22:00 BST.

In the local elections, the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats are fielding candidates in every ward.

Candidates are also standing for the Greens, Reform UK, the Trade Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC), the Yorkshire Party and as independents in some wards.
