Heavy rain causes flash flooding in Deal

Drivers have been advised to avoid some roads
Heavy downpours and flash floods have caused road closures and disruption in parts of Kent.
Deal is the worst affected area. One resident in Albert Road told BBC Kent she had flood water and sewage coming into her home.
Kent Fire and Rescue said other affected roads include The Strand, High Street, Marine Terrace and Canada Road.
People are bailing out their homes and cars but the Met Office has warned more downpours are expected later.
The fire service said it received more than 30 calls about flooding in Deal, with the first call at 1500 BST.
One resident said that at the peak of the flooding, the water was waist-high.
She told BBC that the main problem was the drains which were unable to cope with the amount of water.
Environment Agency area flood risk manager Mark Douch said: "A general message for drivers and road users is to avoid flooded roads.
"It can cause an awful lot of problems for householders as a car drives through the flood water.
"They create bow waves which then just makes the flooding worse.
"Manhole covers can lift off because the drainage system is not designed to cope with this amount of flood water."
Most of the roads have been reopened but the A528 London Road remains closed near the junction of Allenby Avenue.
