Kent International Airport submits night flights plan

  • Published

The owners of Kent International Airport have formally applied to the council to operate night flights.

Infratil was required to submit its plans for a new night flying policy at the Manston site at least six months before it wants flights to start.

A previous application was submitted in August 2009, but Infratil has now handed in an aircraft night noise assessment report.

Thanet District Council said it would carry out a public consultation.

It also said it would seek an independent assessment of the Infratil report and provide advice to the public, explaining the impact of the night flying proposed.
