Kent Police said 37 people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences

A series of raids across northern Kent has disrupted a major drug dealing network, police have said.

More than 120 officers targeted 33 addresses in Sittingbourne and the Isle of Sheppey.

A Kent Police spokesman said 37 people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in the force's biggest operation in two years.

The raids were carried out by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, set up to target organised crime.

Assistant Chief Constable Alan Pughsley said: "There is no doubt in my mind that this activity has significantly disrupted and dismantled an organised crime group in this area."
