Services to honour those who have sacrificed their lives in conflict are taking place across Kent on Remembrance Sunday.
Councillor Eric Hotson, the mayor of Maidstone, will join military and civic dignitaries for an annual parade through the town centre.
The parade starts in Week Street and heads towards the High Street before making its way to Maidstone Cenotaph.
A service is also due to take place at the war memorial in Tunbridge Wells.
Elizabeth Thomas, the deputy mayor, will later join the Royal British Legion in laying a wreath at Tunbridge Wells Cemetery.
Kent Police said St Peters Street and Tonbridge Road in Maidstone were closed to traffic.
