A collision involving a car driven by the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Ann Barnes was driving her Mercedes when it collided with another car and hit a tree in Princes Road, Dartford.

Nobody was seriously hurt in the incident on 16 September.

In a statement, the commissioner's office said it was aware of a referral from Kent Police but it could not comment any further.
