Two people have been charged after a taxi driver was allegedly threatened and assaulted.

Kent Police said the victim had taken two passengers from University Way, in Dartford, to Ebbsfleet International railway station, on Saturday.

Two men, aged 27 and 32, face charges of racially aggravated assault, possessing an offensive weapon, not paying a fare and criminal damage.

They are due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Monday.
