Chattenden crash leaves motorcyclist dead and woman badly hurt

A motorcyclist died and his pillion passenger was left seriously injured in a crash in Kent.

The rider is understood to have struck road signs at a roundabout in Chattenden.

Emergency crews were called at about 00:20 BST after the crash on Peninsula Way at the Main Road roundabout.

The rider, aged in his 20s, was confirmed dead at the scene. His female passenger is in a stable condition in hospital.

It is understood the rider was travelling from the direction of High Halstow towards Medway when he crashed.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
