Arrest after woman who fell from Tonbridge A21 bridge dies

The A21 is closed between Tonbridge and and the junction for Sevenoaks

A man has been arrested after a woman found with serious injuries near a main road in Kent later died.

The woman had fallen from a road bridge on to land below the A21 near Tonbridge, at about 02:25 BST.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also called to tackle a car fire at the same location, Kent Police said.

Police are investigating if there was a link between the car fire and the woman's death. A 31-year-old man from London remains in custody.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
