Postcode Lottery: Family living on same Kent street in double win

A family living on the same street in Kent are among the winners of a £1m lottery prize.

The People's Postcode Lottery Millionaire Street prize will be shared by 11 people living in Hempstead.

Every ticket is worth £83,333, but one resident doubled their winnings by playing with two.

Teacher Ashley Doe called his stepfather Adrian Pennock, who lives on the opposite end of the street, to reveal the news that they both had won.

"To win as a family, I can't believe it," Mr Doe said.

"I was just about to teach a lesson when I got the call and I came running out of the class."

Meanwhile, retired Tony Saunders, 74, won £166,666 as he played with two tickets.

Celebrating with wife Jackie, 74, he said: "This is amazing. All of this for a postcode.

"We're going to sort our son and daughter out, and the grandchildren."

Mr Pearson said he planned to renew his wedding vows with his wife Sharon on their 30th anniversary next year.

"I did say to my wife that we'll get Elvis to do the vows, but she's not up for that," he said.

"We've got a close group of friends going out with us, which will be lovely."
