Gravesend stabbings: Assault charge after man and boy attacked

A man has been charged after a double stabbing on New Year's Day.

A 15-year-old boy and a man, 18, were attacked near Harmer Street in Gravesend, Kent at about 03:10 GMT on 1 January, police said.

They were taken to a London hospital and their injuries were described as not life-threatening.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was also accused of possession of cannabis and was due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court.

The injured pair have since been released from hospital, Kent Police said.
