A man in his 30s died at the scene of the crash

A man in his 30s has died following a late-night crash.

The incident happened at about 01:45 GMT on Saturday in Iwade near Sittingbourne in Kent.

Police said it involved a driver in a white BMW 116d travelling towards Sheerness on Sheppey Way and a pedestrian in his 30s.

The pedestrian died at the scene and the driver was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
