Blackpool is hosting Britain's biggest youth agricultural conference.

The annual convention of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (NFYFC) is being held at The Winter Gardens.

The NFYFC heads a body of 662 Young Farmers' Clubs in England and Wales with 25,000 members aged from 10 to 26.

The organisation said it helps its members, who often live in isolated areas, to access training and develop social networks.

NFYFC vice-chairwoman, Millie Wastie said: "We debate the issues affecting young people such as affordable rural housing, retaining county council farms and training opportunities.

"We've lobbied to ensure that our views are represented and to ensure that the future of farming is viable, positive and vibrant to attract young people to enter the industry."
