Remembrance Sunday services and parades have taken place across Lancashire.
Preston paid its respects with a Remembrance Day parade through the city from Flag Market to the Cenotaph.
And a special service was held at Blackburn Cathedral, which was followed by a parade to the Corporation Park Garden of Remembrance.
A service was also held at Blackpool's Cenotaph on North Promenade.
Preston Guild Mayor, councillor Carl Crompton said it was "very humbling" to lead the city's "very poignant, thought provoking service".
He said: "As we mark 98 years since the end of the Great War, it remains as important as ever to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, so that we could enjoy the freedoms that we do today."
Other events held in Lancashire included services in Burnley, Chorley, Hoddlesden, Fleetwood, Garstang, Poulton, Preesall, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancaster, Morecambe and Carnforth, St Annes, Lytham, Kirkham and Medlar-with-Wesham.
A service at St Peter's Church, Darwen is planned for 14:30 GMT.
Services were also held in the county on Saturday to mark Armistice Day.
A service was held outside Darwen's town hall followed by a wreath-laying at the Belgrave Square Boer War Memorial on Saturday.
This was followed by the unveiling of a sculpture of a spitfire donated by WEC Group Ltd at The Green.
Barton, Bilsborrow & Myerscough in Wyre also held a civic ceremony to remember the 23 servicemen and women from the area who have died in conflict.
The memorial service was held in the remembrance garden in Bilsborrow, with 23 school children representing the fallen servicemen and women and laying a cross in the garden.
