Queen's Birthday Honours: Geoff Driver appointed CBE

The former leader of Lancashire County Council has been appointed a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Tory Geoff Driver, who was replaced by Labour's Jennifer Mein as the county council leader in May, becomes a CBE for services to local government.
Among 15 Lancastrians appointed MBEs is Christine Barnes, 55, a Burnley street pastor, for services to girl guiding.
George Martin of the Prince's Trust in Burnley and Neil Wolstenholme, a Blackpool civil servant, become OBEs.
Six people including a magistrate from Blackpool will be collecting British Empire Medals (BEM).
Sixty-seven-year-old Christine Fitton has been awarded a BEM for her services to scouting, fund-raising and for serving as a magistrate for 20 years where she sits in the family court and is qualified to sit in cases involving domestic violence.
Mrs Barnes joined the Blackpool District Scout movement as assistant leader in 1966 before working her way up to be scout leader. She served as district commissioner in 1997 where she was responsible for 27 scout groups.
Ms Fitton also runs the Blackpool Gang Show, a week-long scouts show at the Globe Theatre at the Pleasure Beach.
