About 2,000 people have taken part in a demonstration ahead of Blackpool's final match of the season.

Fans gathered before the club's Championship match against Huddersfield to protest over the way the club is run by the Oyston family.

The already-relegated team are rooted to the bottom of the table after one of the worst seasons in the club's history.

Blackpool have not won any of their past 17 games.

A spokesman for the Tangerine Knights and Blackpool Supporters' Trust, which organised the protest, said: "Karl Oyston said 'judge me at the end of the season.' Now it is judgement day and it is time to let the Oystons and the nation know that we have reached a unanimous verdict - guilty."

Earlier this week the protesters said they planned to meet at the statue of ex-player Stan Mortensen, as Saturday is the 62nd anniversary of Mortensen's FA Cup final hat-trick of 1953.

However, the club has temporarily removed the statue.
