Drive-by thieves steal £60,000 equipment
About £60,000 worth of equipment was stolen in two thefts on the same road in the same morning, Lancashire Police have said.
They released footage of the thefts after a silver VW Passat, believed to be using cloned number plates, was driven on to the pavement on Rhyddings Street in Oswaldtwistle at about 09:45 GMT on 21 November.
The front seat passenger grabbed a tripod and surveying equipment.
Just over an hour later, a silver Ford Mondeo, again thought to be fitted with cloned plates, drove onto the pavement, knocking the surveying equipment over and causing the operator to jump out of the way.
A man then got out of the car and grabbed the equipment. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
