Skelmersdale fire: Boy, 13, arrested over blaze at derelict building

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a blaze at a derelict building in Lancashire.

Crews tackled the fire on High Street, Skelmersdale, which started at about 19:30 BST on Tuesday.

The blaze has been brought under control, but firefighters remained at the scene for the rest of the night.

Lancashire Police said the teenager from Skelmersdale was arrested shortly after the fire was reported and remains in custody.
