Longridge fire: Firefighters tackle blaze at cheese firm

Sixty firefighters have been tackling a large blaze on an industrial estate.

The fire broke out at Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses in Longridge, at about 21:30 GMT on Monday.

The company confirmed it is at its office and packing site on the Shay Lane Industrial Estate.

Ten engines and specialist equipment were sent to the fire which was brought under control in the early hours of Tuesday, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said.

No injuries were reported.

Longridge High School and St Cecila's RC High School in Longridge are closed.
