Man arrested after boy, 10, attacked by dog

A man has been arrested after a boy was bitten by what police believe to be an XL Bulldog.

The 10-year-old was attacked as he walked on Cedar Street, Blackburn, at about 12:30 GMT on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury, Lancashire Police said. The dog has been seized.

A man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray after reports the family of the victim were later threatened.

The 27-year-old has been bailed pending further inquiries.
