Brian Blakeman: Search widens for missing Skelmersdale man

Mountain rescue and underwater teams have joined searches for Brian Blakeman

Police are continuing to search for a 77-year-old man who went missing on Tuesday.

They recently conducted underwater and helicopter searches for Brian Blakeman, who was last seen in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

He is thought to have been wearing a blue Everton jacket, jeans and trainers.

Police said they were "extremely concerned" and urged residents to check their gardens and sheds.

"We would also continue to ask any residents in Tanhouse, Fosters Green and Digmoor to check their CCTV and doorbell camera footage for between 9am and 4pm on Tuesday," a Lancashire Police representative said.

Officers are also working with transport services and police on Merseyside and Greater Manchester as they believe he could have used public transport.
